• A special way to enhance the holiday is a visit to the Nádi Boldogasszony Parish for midnight mass (The site of today’s Gyula Nádi Nagyboldogasszony Parish Church has hosted a church since before the Turkish era, originally housing the revered “Nádi Virgin Mary” painting. The church and painting were destroyed during the Turkish occupation. The current Baroque and Copf-style parish was built starting in 1775, designed by János Károly Linck under the initiative of Ferenc Harruckern, and consecrated in 1777 in honor of the Immaculate Conception.)
